George planted 100 daffodils that have come and gone, and now the tulips are starting to peek out. The oak leaf hydrangea is almost fully covered with leaves and buds, and one rose bush has started blooming. I love it! The kids and I look for flowers on our morning walk too. We have seen a lot of irises. I think we have some too in the back yard almost ready to show their faces.
I have some photos of other places, other gardens today that I will share. Some are from a place called Chateau Cormatin in France and one from Cluny Abbey. I need to take some here at home. Ooh, and I will post a couple from our recent cousins' trip to the Arboretum. Wow, is the Arboretum gorgeous right now. Of course trying to get 5 children under the age of 5 together for photos was like herding cats, but it was fun trying. And the gardens, oh the flowers were amazing!
So, I'll try and tie all of this together and leave you with this thought:
Earth laughs in flowers. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
