We had never been to Build-A-Bear before, but we
were excited to go this weekend for our friend Mariana’s 4th birthday party.
Everyone had fun, but it was a bit of a mad house on the weekend! The lady who helped everyone at the party was great, but I really felt for her. She had the kids making faces and animal noises as they waited their turn to get stuffing added to their bear.
Mariana's sweet mommy and little sister Lucy.
Finley and Grey picked out the un-stuffed bear they wanted,
then named their bears (Tom and Lovely), then put a heart inside, then the stuffing went it, and
voila! – new, personalized bears!
First, the bears need a bath. You know. Air nozzle shower heads and little scrub brushes do the trick. And it is pretty fun to control the air with a foot control!
Time to pick out outfits and dress them. And drive them around in cute pink cars.
Mariana love the "magic wand" for her bear.
Grey picked out a pirate outfit complete with
hat with built in braids!
Finley, of course, picked out a tutu with
matching headband and wand. And, then we had to get the jewel shoes. Who wouldn’t?
They were so excited to get their bears and have
a box home to take it home in, complete with birth certificate. So fun. What a
sweet and generous gift for a birthday party. We loved it.
Now, for the cupcakes!
We were at Northpark, and we just took a short jaunt to La Duni. Yum! Mommy was very
excited. The girls walked hand in hand. So sweet.
We had tasty sandwiches and potato strings with strawberry
and lemon slushes to start.
The hard part was waiting to sing Happy Birthday
before getting to eat a cupcake.
Boy was the wait worth it!
Happy Birthday Mariana!
